The second are two photos of a Royal New Zealand Air Force [RNZAF] Lockheed P3K Orion during an overshoot where it seemed to be well left of the centre line, almost over the aero club [which makes for interesting photos :-)].

VH-PAL is the CHC based bird and was operating one of the regular Tauck World Explorer tour flights. Today it operated Mount Cook - Woodbourne - Wellington.
The Orion would have been heading for Wigram for the Sky High arirshow on the Sunday. Did a great display but pretty sad that it would be the las t time it would ever land at Wigram.
