A quiet day

Today started much like yesterday ended - not much good for VFR flying, although there were a couple flights later in the day. The main activity today was the continuation of the refurbishment of the Club's "new" hanger facility.

Just a couple of photos. The first is a Jetconnect/ Qantas Boeing 737-838, ZK-ZQC landing at Wellington and Air New Zealand/ Air Nelson Bombardier DHC-8-311, ZK-NEP taking off.

Next weekend I'm planning on a trip down to Kaikoura for a quick look around, but we'll see what the weather has planned for the weekend first :-)

Any chance of you getting some pics of the Kaikoura airport?

Gidday QW,

Yeah, sure, if I get there [doubtful given my history at picking good weather!] :-)

Cheers,

Rodney

Any chance of a photo of the 'new' hangar area etc?
Long time since I flew at WAC!

Hi Anonymous,

I'll see what I can do, although it's a bit tricky. I can't just go wandering out onto the apron to get a photo... unfortunately... it's the old "Gibson hanger", so if you have any old photos, it'll be the same :-)
Cheers,

Rodney
