RNZAF 75th Airshow: Pilatus 3000

A very very sleek and awesome looking plane was this "experimental" Hawker Beechcraft Pilatus 3000, N3000B. The first photo is at Ohakea and the second was taken on Sunday when it popped in to Wellington. Take a good look at the second photo - the very friendly rear-seater giving a wave as it taxied past!

Personally, I'd love to see a fleet of these flying around :-)

Hi

That is a Hawker Beechcraft T6 Texan II, with it's FAA registration of N3000B. It is loosely based around the Pilatus PC-9

Cheers Andrew

Hi Andrew,

Yeah, I had real trouble with this one. I was trying to make the most sense of this: http://registry.faa.gov/aircraftinquiry/NNum_Results.aspx?NNumbertxt=3000B&x=0&y=0

Thanks,

Rodney

It is very much based on the PC-9, the aircraft uses the PC-9 drawings and was originally marketed with the Pilatus name as well. It's the same fuselage, same wing and weighs 2,000lbs more than the PC-9.
