Fixed wing departures

What follows are three quite different types leaving Wellington today. First up is a US-registered Piper PA46-310P Malibu, N9099Z.

Following that is Sounds Air's latest Cessna 208B Grand Caravan, ZK-SAW. This has recently been imported and has yet to be painted in Sounds Air's recognisable livery. It is not a great photo unfortunately, but maybe better next time :-)

Last up is one of Mount Cook Airline's ATR-GIE ATR72's, ZK-MVD.

Aha! I saw SAW on Thursday and wondered whose it was. Didn't quite catch the rego by eye and haven't got the photos off the camera as yet. Can't even remember if I caught it on camera. It did a missed approach on RWY16 and later landed.

LOVE the pic of the ATR. The position of the gear makes it look like it just leapt into the sky!

Hi Allister. yep, the latest Grand Caravan for Sounds Air. The ATR picture turned out better than expected :-)

BTW - I'm heading out tomorrow arvo (about 14:00) if you're interested. just rock up if you are (no flying today... wind).
