Classic Fighters 2009 #4: DHC1 Chipmunk

Here are pictures of some De Havilland Canada DHC-1 Chipmunk aircraft taxying around the aerodrome. Unfortunately I do not seem to have snapped any airborne pictures. The chippie was designed as a military ab-initio trainer to replace another DH aircraft, the venerable Tiger Moth. Since then it has become popular as an entry-level warbird. Note the final picture in which the aircraft has quite a different canopy.
