Out of Vancouver and off to Ganges Harbour on Saltspring Island

While in Vancouver, I took a return flight with Harbour Air from Vancouver to Ganges Island [on Saltspring Island]. It's around a 30-minute flight each way, and in my case, both flights were in a DHC3T Turbine Otter, C-FODH. 

First up is the aircraft for the flight, then the control tower, pictures of the flight then from Ganges Harbour itself.

Harbour Air, Vancouver

I am on holiday at the moment and for the next couple of days I'm in Vancouver. For today's walk-around I went down to the harbour area and took a number of photos of Harbour Air float planes at and in the vicinity of Coal Harbour, downtown Vancouver [ICAO code CYHC].

Now the great news is that I've booked myself into a flight with Harbour Air tomorrow. I'll be on the "Mail Run", so heading out to Ganges Harbour on Salt Spring Island. There's sure to be some photos up in the next week or so.

Off Air - Time for a holiday

I'll be Off Air, or at least slowing down for a short time, as I head off on holiday

I hope to share some photos with you as I trip around, especially of some things you may not have seen before.

Here's a Gulfstream I have not properly identified... I've been in a bit of a rush to complete some other stuff. Obviously US government/ military.

Singapore Airline's new departure

Singapore Airlines has recently changed the destination of their trans-Tasman flight out of Wellington, from Canberra to Melbourne. The departure time has also changed to an early/ mid-afternoon departure [around 13:45 - the inbound flight arrives from Melbourne just after midday.]. They still get the ratepayer subsidy for the flight which is likely to annoy Air New Zealand and Qantas as they also fly this route, without and ratepayer subsidy...
