Southern Wairarapa scenic flight

After not flying for a month [ouch!], I got to take up Cessna C172 ZK-FLT from the aero club today. The weather was OK - mainly southerly but with a bit of easterly in it. Not really turbulant at all, just enough lumps and bumps to keep it interesting.

Andrew C [also from the club] came along for the ride and to take the photos. Top to bottom are:

Takeoff, Lyall Bay, Back to the airfield, Palliser Bay looking east, Palliser Bay looking west, western Palliser Bay looking south, heading westerly on the Pencarrow Arrival procedure, at the Harbour entrance looking north [note the Bluebridge ferry bottom left], Wellington City CBD, final approach for runway 16.

This has to be one of the best parts of the country to fly in!

Enjoy!
