I took 3 people up for a quick flight - north to Petone/Paremata/Mana Island then south down the coastline and in through Island Bay. Needless to say, a great time was had by all. Thanks to Mark for taking the snapshots:

A C172 and only 0.65 [yes, 3 minute charging increments] for the flight. Cheap, easy and fun!
You can see how clear it was with the Kaikoura Ranges in the background!
Makes no difference overall... 6 minute blocks average out anyway.
