USAF C17 Globemaster
Here are a couple of pictures of a USAF C17 Globemaster that is being parked up at Wellington for the past few days. From newspaper reports [if they can be believed...] the aircraft is here for a few days with some USAF personnel on a "study tour" of some sort.

My Flying adventures here in South Carolina often take me to Charleston landing most often at the joint use, Charleston Air Force Base, which is home to C-17's. Sharing the taxi ways and patterns with this monster is interesting. About a year ago during taxi-way repaving I was routed across the military ramp and between two parked C-17's and a Lockheed C-5B. My non-Aviation pax were stunned and I admit I felt very small in my Skylane. The Globemaster 2 is a great aircraft
