From what I can tell, the last ZK-LFT was a Fairchild Metroliner, also operated on behalf of Life Flight Wellington.

Correct on the previous use. Registered Jan 2001 and cancelled Nov 2015. Seen here at Wellington in Feb 2011. https://flic.kr/p/9nE2xc
Do you know what happened to the Metro? are-registered? Coke cans? Parted out?
Air chathams removed any parts of use. The cockpit section now resides in a garage in Cockle bay, Auckland. Plan is to make a simulator out of it eventually.
Hi Rodney,
Lifeflight are asking if it is possible for pictures of this aircraft not be made public till Feb/Mar 2018. We are co-operating with this request on the Wellington Airport Spotters Group on Facebook. If you have any question please contact Terri at Lifeflight.
Cheers
