Other aircraft from Sunday

Prior to my night flying last Sunday night, I was able to photograph a couple of lighter aircraft at Wellington.

The first is a Piper PA32R-301 Saratoga, ZK-ZIG, which is operated by Golden Bay Air of Takaka. The pilot dropped off three passengers at the Aero Club instead of the usual Eastern Apron gate.

The second aircraft was a Skyline Aviation-operated Kawasaki BK117 B2, ZK-IBK. This is a rescue helicopter/ air ambulance, although apart from dropping in the refuel, I'm not sure what it was up to.

No pot o' gold

Just two pictures form today. A rainbow appeared this evening as I looked south-east from the aero club, and the Piper PA32R-301 Saratoga, ZK-ZIG, which is operated by Golden Bay Air.

Citation Mustang and a Saratoga

It was windy again today and just two aircraft that are worth mentioning.

The first is Cessna 510 Citation Mustang, ZK-LCA. This aircraft is registered to Air Hawkes Bay of a Hastings address. By my count, this is the 4th Citation Mustang currently on the New Zealand register [not sure however if any have arrived and left in the past couple of years].

The second aircraft is a repainted Piper PA32R-301 Saratoga, ZK-ZIG, which is registered to Golden Bay Air [formerly Capital Air] of a Takaka address. I've featured this aircraft several times in the past [check out the label cloud of aircraft regos on the right], but this is the first photo of it in the current paint scheme.

Wellington Aero Club Aircraft

Here are the pictures of some of the lighter aircraft at the open day. Most of these are available for hire by Wellington Aero Club [http://www.flywellington.co.nz/] members, although the Saratoga is only used for Capital Air [http://www.capitalair.co.nz/] flights and I think perhaps the Beech 58 will be.

I forgot [!] to get any pictures of the Club's PA28 Warrior and Archer aircraft, and the Piper Arrow PA28-201 was away for the day.
