Armee De L'Air CASA CN-235 at Wellington

Here are a couple of pictures of an Armee De L'Air Casa CN-235 spotted at the RNZAF Air Movements Base at Wellington earlier today. The French seem to be over here on a fairly regular basis.

I saw my first one just last weekend I was at my airport washing my plane when a rare U.S.A.F. CN-235 landed. It only stayed a few minutes. The Air Force only has a very few and most of these are stationed at Seymour Johnson in North Carolina and are assigned to the Special Ops group. So who knows what they actually do. Anyway I got a great look at a really neat plane. But no photos cause I forgot my camera. Oh well.

I didn't realise that the USAF had any of these aircraft. Thanks for the info.

I forgot to include the s/n id of the aircraft I saw. It a CN-235 was 66049 And I believe it to be with the USAF 427th Special Operations Squadron.

Rumors have that as a " Delta Force type Unit"
