Pelorus Air

Yesterday I finally got to see Pelorus Air's new Gippsland GA8 Airvan, ZK-PEL. From the outside, it is a really nice aircraft. I haven't seen inside this one as yet, but other GA8's I have seen have been somewhat utilitarian but quite nice.

Earlier today., I also got around to photographing their Cessna 172, ZK-MGR. When I say "172", I don't mean an M, N, R, S or other later models, this is a very nicely presented, and very early model, C172.

In both cases, these are the first. pictures I've published of these aircraft - surprising for ZK-MGR since it has been around for a while...!

Two Cessnas at Wellington

Today's pictures [from last Sunday] are two quite different Cessna aircraft.

The first is a Cessna A185F, ZK-PRM. This aircraft is operated by Pelorus Air and is used to transport passengers across Cook Strait and around the Marlborough Sounds.

The second Cessna for this post is a Cessna 650 Citation III, N163JM. Despite being US-registered, it is based in Wellington and makes fairly regular trips out and about. It appears that it undertook a return trip to Christchurch on Sunday.

Airliners at Wellington

Here are photos of three airliners at Wellington earlier today.

First up is the arrival of a Jetconnect-operated Boeing 737-838, ZK-ZQH. Jetconnect is a subsidiary of Qantas, hence the livery.

Next up is a departing Air Nelson Bombardier DHC-8-311, ZK-NEK.

Lastly, and stretching the definition of airliner somewhat :-), is this Cessna U206G, ZK-ENT. This is operated by Pelorus Air. In this case, it was heading off to Takaka - I understand that Pelorus Air is filling in for Golden Bay Air.

Pelorus Air

Following on from my last post and the arrival of the RAAF C17A Globemaster III into Wellington yesterday, there was another arrival, at almost the opposite end of the size and load carrying scale.

This is a Cessna A185F, ZK-PRM, which is operated by Pelorus Air. The background of the first image gives a hint as to when this aircraft arrived :-)

Pelorus Air

This post is a picture of Pelorus Air's Cessna U206G, ZK-ENT, as it arrived at Wellington on Saturday. Pelorus Air's Cessna 185 was here also, although I didn't get any photos of that aircraft.
