Vans RV4 at Wellington

Last weekend this really nice RV4 visited Wellington. It's the second time I have seen ZK-RVV at Wellington. The first time was two years ago on 1 April 2018.

Light aircraft at Wellington

Today's light visitors to Wellington are an RV4 and a DA42.

The Vans RV4, ZK-RVV is is a new aircraft to me and is registered to a Tauranga address.

The second aircraft is a Diamond DA42, ZK-MTB, operated by Massey University School of Aviation.

Harmon Rocket II

This slightly familiar but still unusual aircraft is a Harmon Rocket II, ZK-RMD. The Harmon Rocket II is an amateur built aircraft and from what I understand of the aircraft [which is very little...] is a modified version of the Vans RV4.

Vans RV4 at Wellington

I am well and truly back home now. The weather is cold, wet and windy :-) and I'm back into photographing some of the aircraft passing through Wellington. Today's aircraft is a Vans RV-4, ZK-RVI.

It not only looks good, but it sounds like it flies quick also... just a pity I have no tail-dragger experience. As it turns out, this is also the first RV4 photo I've put up on the blog [as far as I can tell].
