An airshow would not be complete without the RNZAF Red Checkers display team putting on a display. The team uses the air force's ab-initio trainers, Pacific Aerospace Corporation's CT4/E and the team members are comprised of instructors from the RNZAF Central Flying School based at RNZAF Base Ohakea.
They always put on a polished, professional show and this was no exception. There was the usual range of formation aerobatics, mirror display with a third aircraft doing barrel rolls and the incredible "spaghetti break" at the end. As usual, photos do no justice to the professionalism of these pilots... also, I was getting some shelter from the 30+ degree celcius sun... so I missed the opportunity to photograph the mirror display and a couple of other manoeuvres... darn! You'll just need to come along yourself next time :-)

It goes without saying that the no air show would be "complete" without the Red Checkers. I've never, in my life, been to a show in New Zealand that didn't feature them.
Yep, that's right :-)
